OUR STORY
The seed for Take Italy Bistrot was planted during the COVID-19 lockdown in Italy, where the founder Cristian Romeo, found inspiration while confined to their grandparents' house. Amid the uncertainty and isolation, the dream of bringing a taste of Italy to the UK began to take shape. With passion and resilience, upon returning to the UK, the founder and their family started the venture from home, only to face challenges that led to the initial closure after three months. Yet, they persevered, and in September 2023, they discovered a hidden gem in the heart of Grantham.
With sheer dedication, they transformed this space into a welcoming haven in just five months, crafting everything by hand from the floor up. Although the journey has just begun with only 50% of the building restored, plans are already underway to expand and create new areas for customers in the coming years.

We import 90% of our ingredients directly from Italy, ensuring that the essence of Italian cuisine is captured in every dish. From the pure, sparkling water to the robust coffee and delicate sugar, our commitment to quality is unwavering. The remaining 10% comes from trusted local farms, where we handpick the freshest produce, dairy, and meats to support our local community and ensure unparalleled freshness.

OUR COMMUNITY AND EVENTS
Over the last ten months, Take Italy Bistrot has hosted numerous events and business dinners, helping us grow within the town. From a wedding with 60 guests to catering events for local businesses, and summer music events featuring the Fasta Products collective, our bistro has become a vibrant hub of activity and celebration.
